It’s good if you have experienced trauma or gaslighting that it’s rare to mix with men and little social activities so easy to concentrate on religion and studies
  • 0
It is made clear male visitors especially overnight are unwelcome so it is easier to reassure parents that you are in a safe Environment and that study is the main concern; there is a bar but nobody uses as not socially important they use it for conference guests
  • 0
It is worthwhile to see the alternative prospectus; we offer good prayer spaces and specialist diets so vegetarian and halal is included https://www.applytocambridge.com/colleges/murrayedwards

Love it being up the hill. It keeps you fit!

    Overpriced accommodation
  • 6
All female - does result in less of a college social atmosphere, and can get a bit cliquey

Other side of town from most NatSci faculties

You have to cycle uphill to reach the college
  • 1
Really expensive and single sex means little social life as most proper colleges security makes hard to mix with

Make mixed (it’s like lockdown is real life) and make similar price to real colleges

Real mix - great, en-suite rooms in first year (compulsory to stay in Pearl House) and in Buck House (typically third years), old block is really dodgy though, and generally all over-priced. Would say that only Buck House is decent value for money, but that's at the expense of being kicked out on the last day of lectures for conference guests to move in.

Ok but twice what pay in a mixed college, bathrooms ok except old block but generally awful kitchens and no lounge or social areas - it’s ok if you can get a boyfriend in a proper college but hard with covid !
